“The story of a gladiator” is not boring. There are enough variety of enemies and situations that each level is exciting. The crowd also helps and is my favorite mechanic. Killing enemies quickly makes them promote, which fills a meter at the bottom of the screen. When they encourage you, it does two things. First, they will start throwing objects in the sand. For example, rocks to stun enemies or food to heal you. Second, that bar can be drained to invoke the power of your god. The initial god will stun all enemies, you can imagine how useful it is.
There are three arenas with twelve battles and the last battle is a boss. Each battle is quite short and consists of three or four waves of enemies. After winning, he is awarded a three-star rating, but I don’t understand if that is based on his health or how many times he is hit.
You can train and place your skill points. There are a lot of skills and liabilities to choose from and you get a new point for each level. The level limit is fifteen. That means there are fewer
skill points that places to use them, so you must specialize. This is great and gives you the option to play as you want. There are some other stores that offer temporary benefits that can help those three stars reach difficult levels.
Overall, “Story of a Gladiator” is fun and I am enjoying all the customization. The introduction sets the foolish tone and being able to use a tiger skin to kill a ton of gladiators takes it home. If you are a fan of gladiator movies or series, you must try it.
