Hungama 2 is an Indian Hindi language Comedy-Drama film. Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain & Chetan R Jain under the banner of Armaan Ventures Private Limited & Venus Records & Tapes. The film features Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Rajpal Yadav, and Johny Lever in lead role. Hungama 2 was not released theatrically and It was released through the streaming platform on 23 July, 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar [India].

Hungama 2 is a Comedy-Drama film it has been directed by Priyadarshan. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty and Meezaan Jaffry in the lead along with comic artists like Rajpal Yadav and Johny Lever in key roles. Hungama 2 marks the comeback of director Priyadarshan to Bollywood films after seven years. The film jointly produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain and Armaan Ventures. Apart from Hungama 2, Ramesh Taurani’s horror comedy, Bhoot Police too is gearing up for a premiere on Disney+ Hotstar around the month of September.
Hungama 2 was premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 23 July, 2021. It’s a sequel to the 2003 cult comedy Hungama, which starred Akshaye Khanna, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal and Aftab Shivdasani in lead. Apart from retaining the title for the sequel, another commonality between the two films is that both are a remake of Malayalam films. While Hungama was a remake of the 1984 film Poochakkoru Mookuthi starring Mohanlal, Hungama 2 is a remake of Minnaram also starring Mohanlal in the lead. Minnaram which was released in 1994 was directed by Priyadarshan and also starred Shobhana, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Thilakan. Interestingly, Akshaye will be seen making a cameo appearance in Hungama 2. Hungama 2 will see Meezaan Jafri essay the role played by Mohanlal in the original. His life gets chaotic when a former lover arrives at his place with a baby which she claims is his.
