Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket’s global launch date leaked. In July of last year, Huawei unveiled the P50 and P50 Pro and then followed it up by launching the P50 Pocket phone that folds in December. These phones are only available in China; however, two will be making their global debut next week, on January 12.

The announcement is coming via Huawei’s Malaysian department. It shared some teasers on its Twitter account to confirm the official launch date of January 12 of the P50 Pro and P50 Pocket. Huawei Malaysia has listed both phones on its official website with their specifications and features.

They are similar to the specifications of their Chinese counterparts. The P50 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC rather than Kirin 9000, while the P50 Pocket will run EMUI 12. P50 Pocket will run EMUI 12 straight out of the box instead of harmony. Huawei hasn’t announced the OS that the P50 Pro will run.

However, we think it will run EMUI 12. The P50 Pro, as well as the P50 Pocket, will be offered with a single 8GB/256GB model at least in Malaysia as well as it is expected that the P50 Pocket Standard Edition will be available with the 12GB/512GB trim.
